Welcome to Reading/Writing Groups
* Children will be working in groups using the Fountas and Pinnell Classroom program.
* Children will be able to rotate to four activities everyday. They will follow a schedule that is on the Centers Board.

The Centers Include:
- Computer Center: children will work in the Waterford Reading Program at their individual levels.
- Listening Center: children will listen to a story on tape using headphones, when finished they will complete a book response worksheet
-ABC Center: children will work with the teacher on building word activities, cut and paste phonics worksheets, and sight word activities.
- Independent Work Folder Center: children will work on beginning sounds, alphabetical order, reading sequencing, word building, and sentence building.
-Independent Reading Center: children will be able to independently read their shared and sight word books
-Guided Reading Groups: children will work with the teacher on reading skills. They will read books together and focus on tapping out sounds in words, sight words, and comprehension.
